Keiichiro Kawai
Keiichiro Kawai ist Doktorand am Institut. Er erwarb 2020 den Bachelor of Law und 2022 den Master of Law an der Universität Kyoto, Japan. Im Jahr 2021 gewann er den 8. Sigeru Oda Award (1. Platz in diesem Jahr) in einem studentischen Aufsatzwettbewerb, der von der Japanischen Gesellschaft für Internationales Recht veranstaltet wird.
Herr Kawai ist seit Dezember 2022 Mitglied des Instituts. Seine Doktorarbeit befasst sich mit der diskursiven Struktur, die das rechtliche Umfeld des Internationalen Strafgerichtshofs konstituiert, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf der Natur der Institution als internationale Organisation unter dem Völkerrecht.
Seine Forschungsinteressen liegen allgemein im Bereich des Völkerrechts, insbesondere im Recht der internationalen Organisationen, im Völkerstrafrecht und im Recht der internationalen Verantwortung.
Er ist Mitglied des Cologne Center for Advanced Studies in International History and Law.
