Jonathan Badstieber
Jonathan Badstieber is a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Peace and Security Law under the supervision of Prof. Claus Kreß and a research assistant at the Institute for Air Law, Space Law and Cyber Law (Prof. Stephan Hobe). He previously studied law in Munich, Clermont-Ferrand and Cologne. In 2019, he passed his first state exam in Cologne with the specialization Public International Law and European Law.
His doctoral thesis focuses on the concept of attack in International Humanitarian Law. His further research interests include International Criminal Law, International Human Rights Law and German Constitutional Law.
As part of his work as a research assistant, Jonathan Badstieber supervised the Cologne team at the Telders International Law Moot Court for a period of three years.
