Christian Goldkuhle
Christian Goldkuhle is a doctoral candidate at the Institute for International Peace and Security Law under the supervision of Professor Claus Kreß since October 2022, after completing his First State Examination in Cologne with a specialisation in Public International Law and European Law.
His dissertation deals with the right of self-defence and the recovery of occupied territories. His further research interests lie in the Law on the Use of Force (ius ad bellum), European Law as well as Aviation Law.
In addition to his PhD, he works as a research assistant at the Chair of Public International Law, European Law and International Economic Law and Institute of Air Law, Space Law and Cyber Law, where he supervises the team of the Telders International Law Moot Court of the University of Cologne. Previously, he was in charge of the organisation of PROTEUS, a political science and law cooperation project.
He is a member of the Cologne Center for Advanced Studies in International History and Law.
